Innovative schemes to help victims in North Yorkshire and York are featured in the Association of Police and Crime Commissioner’s national report.

Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Zoe Metcalfe has today launched an online survey which invites the public to complete a set of questions that will gauge the level of public trust and confidence in policing response across North Yorkshire and York.

North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Zoë Metcalfe, has commissioned the research arm of the Independent Charity ‘Victim Support’, to look at the experience of victims and survivors of crime in North Yorkshire and York make recommendations on how services can further support them in future. 

Commissioner Zoë, North Yorkshire Police, and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are inviting the public to vote for their Public Choice Awards 2022.

Commissioner Zoë Metcalfe has joined Kerry Roberts in the “NotMyChild” campaign which aims to encourage parents, guardians and care givers to have positive conversations with their teenage children about drugs, alcohol and other substances, before any harm has happened.

£13,271.23 from Commissioner Zoë Metcalfe’s Community Fund has been used to tackle antisocial behaviour and improve the quality of life for the community of Skelton through a new community-based problem-solving technique.

Commissioner Zoë Metcalfe will host her monthly Public Accountability Meetings on Thursday 20 October and is encouraging people across North Yorkshire and York to get involved.

Commissioner Zoë joins key agencies across York and North Yorkshire who are all standing together with local communities to drive out hate crime and in particular, misogyny, which affects thousands of people each year.
