Julia comments on North Yorkshire Police’s Child Sexual Exploitation campaign

“This campaign was not appropriate and North Yorkshire Police have made the correct decision to stop it and remove existing posts. I have asked the Chief Constable to ensure greater care is taken on the messages issued on behalf of the Force in the future.

“Child Sexual Exploitation is a hugely important issue and we need to help victims, encourage them to speak out and get the support they need. There are many examples of good practice in North Yorkshire and I am disappointed this campaign was the way the Police chose to highlight it.”
