Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire is seeking a Deputy
The Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire is seeking a Deputy to assist her with the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan for the people of North Yorkshire.
Commissioner Julia Mulligan said: “This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to influence the delivery and direction of policing and community safety in North Yorkshire. As my Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner, the successful candidate will be politically astute, and be able to provide strategic insight and advice on a wide range of topics. I am looking for someone who can work with senior officers and politicians locally and at a national level. They must be resilient and tenacious, as well as able to hear, understand and effectively engage with North Yorkshire’s public.”
The role requires knowledge and experience across a range of community safety issues such as vulnerability, domestic and sexual abuse, child exploitation/safeguarding, and reducing reoffending are desirable. Understanding of relationships between the police and partners such as health, local authorities and the criminal justice system would be highly advantageous.
