The Commissioner has decided to publish her Annual Reports for 2021/22 following support from the Police, Fire and Crime Panel, in line with s. 12 of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.

The Commissioner has decided to publish her Annual Reports for 2021/22 following support from the Police, Fire and Crime Panel, in line with s. 12 of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.

Background

The Commissioner is required by law to publish Annual Reports on policing and crime and fire and rescue, detailing progress against her Police and Crime Plan and Fire and Rescue Plan.

As part of this, draft reports must be submitted to scrutiny by the Police, Fire and Crime Panel for North Yorkshire and York.

Panel scrutinised these reports on 21 July. The Panel made certain recommendations which the Commissioner accepted and for which amendments have been made to the Reports.

The Reports, the Panel’s recommendations and the Commissioner’s response to Panel are appended to this Decision Notice.
