Jo Coles, Deputy Mayor for Policing, Fire and Crime and Mayor, David Scaith, are determined to deliver safe places for all. As part of this they’re focusing on road safety and how we can all improve road safety for everyone.
Whether you’re in a car, on a bike, on foot or on a horse, Jo and David want to deliver safe roads and a vision of zero road deaths, because one death on our roads in York or North Yorkshire is one death too many.
Jo Coles has already held a number of road safety advice surgeries with councils across our region to understand their priorities and on Thursday 3 July she is holding another, to hear from more Parish and Town Councils.
If you are a member of a Parish or Town Council and have road safety issues to raise with the Deputy Mayor , please book an appointment.
If you are a member of the public and have road safety concerns in your community, please raise these with your Parish or Town council and ask them to book an appointment with Jo.
The Policing, Fire and Crime Team will work with the Road Safety Partnership, to identify areas for road safety improvement in your area.
