I write in connection with your request for information that was received by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, Policing, Fire and Crime Directorate (PFC) on the 9th February 2026. 

  

Question/ Request:  

Please provide the following information in relation to the £700 expenditure item listed in the October 2025 Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner expenditure report, described as “Employee Conferences, OPCC – Staffing Office Costs” and paid to the Association of Police & Crime Chief Executives.

1. The name of the conference or event to which this expenditure relates.
2. The date, duration and location of the conference or event.
3. The role(s) or job title(s) of those who attended (names not required).
4. What the £700 payment covered (for example, delegate fees or registration).
5. Whether attendance at the event required any formal approval and, if so, at what level.
6. Whether any value-for-money assessment or justification was undertaken in relation to this expenditure, and if so, a copy of any recorded assessment or summary  

Answer/ Response:  

To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within the PFC.     

I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by the PFC.

Answer: APCC and NPCC Summit London 2025 

 

Q2) The date, duration and location of the conference or event. 

Answer: Tuesday 18th November 2025, 8:00 – 20:45 

 Wednesday 19th November 2025, 8:00 – 14:40 

Location: QEII Conference Centre, Westminster, London.  

 

3) The role(s) or job title(s) of those who attended (names not required). 

Answer: Deputy Mayor for Policing Fire and Crime 

 Director of Policing, Fire and Crime 

 

4) What the £700 payment covered (for example, delegate fees or registration). 

Answer: 2x Delegate fees at £354.00 (Inc. VAT) each. 

 

5) Whether attendance at the event required any formal approval and, if so, at what level. 

Answer: No formal approval was necessary. 

 

6) Whether any value-for-money assessment or justification was undertaken in relation to this expenditure, and if so, a copy of any recorded assessment or summary. 

Answer: No assessment undertaken as the event was directly relevant to their working roles.
