Decision
Searches were carried out within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner. I confirm that the information you have requested is held and have decided to release the information to you.
Question 1
4 bids were received for the North Yorkshire Police Communications Review contract.
Question 2
I have interpreted this question as meaning the quotes received from the unsuccessful companies who responded to the Invitation to Quote. These were as follows:
- £33,950
- £35,000
- £34,000
The budget allocated to the delivery of this project was £35,000 and this was confirmed in the Invitation to Quote issued by the Commissioner. The Invitation to Quote is published on the Commissioner’s website and is available via the following link: https://www.northyorkshire-pfcc.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Strategic-Communications-Planning-and-Consultancy-Contract.pdf
Question 3
The bid from Finn Communications was within the budget specified in the Invitation to Quote. The contract with Finn Communications is published on the Commissioner’s website and is available via the following link: https://www.northyorkshire-pfcc.gov.uk/commissioner/finances/tenders/contracts-10000-entered-office-police-crime-commissioner/
Please see the section titled “North Yorkshire Police Communications Review” which confirms the estimate cost of the project as being £34,200, which was Finn’s quote.
Question 4
No interest (of any sort) was declared in the preferred bidder by the Commissioner.
