Question 1
The car park is shared with the other occupants of the building, but there are 7 car parking spaces allocated specifically to the OPCC.
Questions 2 & 3
The OPCC has access to a disabled car parking space although it is not specifically reserved for the exclusive use of the OPCC. As the space is not solely for the use of the OPCC, there is no recorded information held by the OPCC as to whether the space is compliant with the “Inclusive Mobility” guidance referred to in your request.
Question 4
All occupants of the shared building have a duty to make sure that the use of the disabled space is not abused.
Question 5
The ground floor is accessible to disabled people in wheelchairs, the upper floor is accessible by a lift. The upper floor is currently not in use and further measures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of disabled persons once this floor is occupied.
Question 6
Arrangements for the safe evacuation of any disabled people in wheelchairs will be addressed as per the fire risk assessment for the building and the Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans identified once this floor is occupied.
Question 7
The most recent fire evacuation drill was on the 19th February 2014. Fire drills will be undertaken every six months in accordance with policy and fire risk assessment.
Question 8
There is one trained First Aider within the OPCC.
Question 9
The Commissioner is not a signatory to the North Yorkshire Armed Forces Community Covenant and therefore there is no recorded information held in respect of this request.
