Q2) How many of the cases in the above date range have received a decision from the adjudication service.

0 requests, received between 01/07/2024 and 01/04/2025, have received a completed review report from the Independent Adjudicator.

Q3) It is stated the adjudicator will respond with a decision in 4 to 6 months. What processes are in place to communicate with and update the user when these timelines are exceeded.

Currently complainants are not updated as expectations in terms of review response are managed within the initial acknowledgement, where the timeframe for response is detailed therein. The Independent Adjudicator complaints review process is currently under review as a result of demand for this service and resource available to undertake to complete review requests received. Requests for reviews have become far more complex in nature taking much longer to complete than was initially anticipated and as such, this will be factored into the revised review process, whereby the complainant will be proactively updated to manage expectations as appropriate.

Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data.  It should be noted therefore that the PFC’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
