I write in connection with your request for information that was received by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, Policing, Fire and Crime Directorate (PFC) 11th December 2025.
Request:
- PFCC Oversight of Police Resourcing in Thirsk
For the period 1 January 2023 – present, please provide:
- Any briefing papers, summary reports, or oversight documents held by the PFCC that refer specifically to police resourcing levels or policing capacity in Thirsk or the surrounding area.
(If full documents cannot be disclosed, a list of titles and dates is sufficient.)
- Any correspondence or reports between the PFCC and North Yorkshire Police concerning:
- police presence in Thirsk town centre,
- response times, or
- anti-social behaviour involving youths.
A summary or redacted version is acceptable if necessary.
- Community Safety & Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Strategy – Thirsk
Please provide:
- Any locality-specific assessments, summaries, or strategic documents held by the PFCC that reference youth-related anti-social behaviour in Thirsk.
- Any funded community safety initiatives directed at Thirsk during:
- 2022/23
- 2023/24
- 2024/25 (to date)

For dispersal orders issued in Thirsk town centre between 1 January 2023 and today, please provide:
- The number of dispersal orders reported to or logged by the PFCC Office.
- Any summary notes, briefings, or oversight documents referring to the dispersal order enforced from 15:30 Tuesday to 03:30 Wednesday (week commencing Monday 8th December 2025)
Again, summaries or lists are acceptable if disclosure of full documents is not possible.
