Freedom of Information request reference number: NY09727

I write in connection with your request for information that was received by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, Policing, Fire and Crime Team (PFC) on the 22nd June.

Question/ Request:

  • Where are the PCSOs?
  • How many PCSOs work in Richmond?
  • And could I ask how many hours of foot patrol does each PCSO do in the town a week, I would be surprised if it’s more than a few if any. By a total lack of presence.
  • Do the PCSOS understand prime time key location patrols. If they do then again I never see a presence.
  • Why are they not on patrol around our schools and in the town at these busy times and locations!
  •  Maybe we can have a push to have recorded hours of foot patrol and locations patrolled and when.

Answer/ Response:

To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within the PFC.
