Freedom of Information request reference number: NY9782
I write in connection with your request for information that was received by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, Policing, Fire and Crime Team (PFC) on the 8th July.
Question/ Request:
In Jo Coles’ priorities document, the only mention of wildlife crime comes in this priority: “Strengthening the Rural Crime Taskforce with additional resources and personnel to address rural crime, including agricultural theft, wildlife crime and violence against women and girls.”
Please could you outline how this has progressed since coming to office, generally, and specifically:
- how many personal have been allocated to address each of the topics mention i.e. rural crime, agricultural theft, wildlife crime, violence against women and girls and what in the % increase of each since coming to office?
- please can you define the ‘additional resources’ mentioned?
- What additional resources have been made available since coming to office?
- North Yorkshire is the country’s worst place for raptor crime in the country (RSPB), what policies are being drawn up to address this and when are they going to be introduced?
- anything else you wish to add on this topic? My requests for interview have to date been ignored but I am very happy to site for an interview on these topics.
If you are only able to release some of the information I would ask that you release this data rather than withhold the entire set.
