The Public Safety Service is a small and unique service funded by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and North Yorkshire Police, which operates in the district of Craven within North Yorkshire and has been keeping residents safe and feeling safe since it was launched in April 2020.

The Public Safety Service brings together a number of organisations, currently including North Yorkshire Police, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to help prevent vulnerability and reduce harm and to improve the safety and resilience of our communities.

The main focus of their role is providing crime prevention, fire safety and health and wellbeing information, and supporting community problem solving.
