Commissioner Julia Mulligan calls on residents to tell her what they need to ‘Be safe, feel safe’ in their community

Police and Crime Commissioner Julia Mulligan is today launching a survey calling on residents to tell her what they and their families and communities need to ‘Be safe, feel safe’ in North Yorkshire.

She is asking people to give her their views on priorities for policing and community safety over the next three years so she can reflect their feedback in her new Police and Crime Plan.

The plan sets the future direction for the way communities will be protected and kept safe and is directly influenced by what local people tell her they want and need.

The survey will run until 18 November.

Julia will also be running a series of web chats during November in which she will present the early findings from the survey and give residents the chance to have their say on emerging themes and priorities.

“The Police and Crime Plan sets the future direction for the way communities are protected and kept safe, including by the police and so this is a chance for you to influence the services you receive,” said Julia.

“I want as many people as possible to fill out the survey. It will tell me what is important to you, your families and your communities and what it takes for you to be safe and feel safe in North Yorkshire.”

The survey is also available in alternative formats, please contact us at to request one.
