His Royal Highness Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, has died.

Julia Mulligan, North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, said:

“It is a sad day for our country. My thoughts, and I know the thoughts of so many across North Yorkshire and York, are today with Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family following the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.”
