Jo Coles to be York & North Yorkshire Deputy Mayor for Policing Fire and Crime

At the confirmation hearing, Jo Coles was unanimously approved by the Panel to be appointed as York and North Yorkshire Deputy Mayor for Policing, Fire and Crime.

Jo’s will start her new role on Monday 8 July 2024.

After the hearing, Jo Coles, York and North Yorkshire Deputy Mayor for Policing, Fire and Crime said:

“I want to thank the North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel for their confirmation of my nomination as the Deputy Mayor for Police, Fire and Crime, here in North Yorkshire and across York.
