Identifying and managing risk

Veritau Limited currently audits internal processes and systems for North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Fire and Rescue Authority.

Veritau Limited agree with the North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Fire and Rescue Authority a programme of work to be undertaken throughout the year.

The current internal audit plan has been prepared on the basis of a risk assessment. This is intended to ensure limited audit resources are prioritised towards those systems and areas which are considered to be the most risky and/or which contribute the most to the achievement of the Authority’s priorities and objectives.

Progress reports are provided to the Independent Audit Committee and recommendations, if accepted, will be developed through the service.
