What steps has the Commissioner taken to:
(i) Apprise herself of the extent of the non-compliance issues extant within the Civil Discloure Unit?
(ii) Hold the Chief Constable to account over these long-term, repeated failings to comply with the law and use of public funds?
(iii) Keep the Panel informed?
Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire (OPCC).
I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by the OPCC.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you.
(i)(ii) The Commissioner receives a report to her Executive Board regarding the Civil Disclosure Unit’s performance data and tribunal hearings.
(iii) There is no statutory necessity for the Commissioner to inform the Police and Crime Panel on this matter. The Commissioner has answered questions presented by the Panel on this matter when asked.
