I write in connection with your request for information that was received by the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire (OPFCC) on 4th February 2021.
I note you seek access to the following information:
The request concerns the investment made by the Home Office into your district under the Safer Streets Fund, announced in July 2020.
Please can you provide the following:
- All the LSOAs (lower super output areas) under your jurisdiction that the intervention area covers
- The specification for CCTV that will be installed in these areas including:
- i) the model of camera
- ii) a description of the camera
iii) the number of cameras that will be installed
If no CCTV cameras are planned, please make this clear.
Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within the OPFCC.
I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by the OPFCC.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you.
I can confirm there are no plans to install CCTV cameras as part of this project.
Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data. It should be noted therefore that the OPFCC’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
