Women Unlocked Mentoring Programme

Personalised mentoring to support young women and girls with personal development.

We are inviting young women and girls aged 16-24 across North Yorkshire and York to take part in the Women Unlocked Mentoring Programme.

Women Unlocked Mentoring Programme offers personalised mentoring to support young women and girls with personal development.

We are particularly interested in hearing from participants with lived experience of gender inequality.

What is Women Unlocked?

The Women Unlocked Mentoring Programme is an individual and group mentoring project for young women and girls aged 16-24. By taking part you will work individually with an experienced mentor on personal development topics such as CV writing, interview skills, confidence and deciding what’s next for you in life (Plus lots more- It’s all about what YOU want to work on).

You’ll also be part of a group of other young women coming together to tackle gender inequality. This will include working with partner groups, like the York & North Yorkshire Office for Policing, Fire, Crime and Commissioning; North Yorkshire Police; North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and more to tell them how they can better protect and support an young women.

You will also work together to design a special campaign that will be launched across York and North Yorkshire to help tackle gender inequality and Violence Against Women and Girls.
