Support for older people in the spotlight as Commissioner holds first joint public accountability meeting
The event, which will broadcast live online, will see Julia Mulligan hear updates on performance from leaders of North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The meeting, on 26 February at 1.30pm, is the first since the transfer of governance for the Fire and Rescue Service from the Fire Authority to the Commissioner, and introducing this accountability, transparency and openness to the service is one of her priorities.
Support for older people from police and fire services will be the focus this month and there will be a joint presentation on the work being done to keep them safe, as well as a general update on the performance of both emergency services.
The meeting will be available to watch here and residents are invited to ask questions via Twitter during the meeting, using the hashtag #NYscrutiny, or beforehand by emailing [email protected].
