Fire and Rescue Service and Police Collaboration

August 2016

£6,250 The Buzz, Harrogate The Policing and Crime Bill that is currently progressing through Parliament will provide a legal duty for emergency services to collaborate. It also provides the opportunity for Police and Crime Commissioners (PCC) to replace Fire Authorities and take responsibility for Fire and Rescue Services in their area.

An agency was required to deliver a representative survey public consultation to gauge interest and support for increased collaboration between North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and North Yorkshire Police, and general features of that collaboration. We looked for a company that could provide a quality survey and analysis report in a short timeframe.

PCC artwork and digital imaging £9,052.50 MARK Studio Ltd A range of one-off, practical items was needed in order for the OPCC to conduct its day-to-day business and present itself professionally, in a politically neutral way. Unlike some other Police Authorities, North Yorkshire had not spent money on these up beforehand. As a consequence, there was an early requirement for ‘basics’ such as logos, literature, digital designs and templates. Now that these are in place, the OPCC is largely self-sufficient, thus minimising the time and resources spent on developing communication materials. It is clear that by investing in these basic items up front and by commissioning a range of templates, the Office will save money over the longer term and thus reduce the need for using external suppliers.
Newsletter templates and themed icons £1,410 MARK Studio Ltd
