Public Questions

Alexander– Leeming Bar

As policing increasingly adopts real-time data systems, facial recognition technologies, intelligence sharing, and multi-agency operational environments, what safeguards are being developed to ensure that incorrect information can be challenged, reviewed, and corrected at a speed proportionate to the speed at which it can now be acted upon?  In particular, how are North Yorkshire Police ensuring that individuals are not left experiencing prolonged consequences from disputed, inaccurate, or outdated information across interconnected systems while correction mechanisms remain slow, fragmented, or retrospective in practice?

Cllr Merrett  – York

What work has been done to check the useability / understandability of the police on-line reporting system and to see all sections of society and abilities are able to use it? What stats are there on the number of people who give up before completing a submission?

Cllr Merrett  – York

With regard to Op Snap and the close overtaking of cyclists, can I ask for a broad breakdown of what happens with submissions in terms of those not taken further, those that lead to a warning letter being issued and those that lead to both successful or unsuccessful prosecutions. What is the policy framework as to what approach is taken in each individual case and can this be published

Michael – Burton in Lonsdale

How are complaint trends analysed and can a future public meeting go into detail about what is shown by complaints trends and figures?
